How it works
A clear process, with your onboarding and credentialing kept in your control.
- Tell us the needUnit, shift pattern, certifications required, start date, duration and any site orientation requirements.
- We search and verifyWe match from our registered professionals and confirm registration status with the provincial regulator, plus the certifications you list (for example BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC).
- You review and decideYou receive profiles and choose who to interview or accept. Your own onboarding, orientation and credentialing steps stay in your control.
- We support the placementWe stay in contact with you and the professional during the assignment and handle issues quickly.
Timelines depend on the role, the province and your onboarding requirements. We do not promise placement or speed.
We understand how Canadian hospitals are governed
Hospital staffing is shaped by who governs the hospital, which collective agreement applies, and which accreditation and regulatory standards the site follows.
British Columbia (our home province)
Hospital care is delivered through five regional health authorities (Fraser Health, Interior Health, Island Health, Northern Health and Vancouver Coastal Health) and the Provincial Health Services Authority for province-wide specialized services. The First Nations Health Authority is governed separately and focuses on community-based services for First Nations people.
Alberta
Acute care sits with Alberta Health Services and Covenant Health today, and the province is reorganizing its system into provincial agencies, so structures are changing. We tell you plainly what applies to your site.
Ontario
Hospitals are independent corporations governed by their own boards, with Ontario Health as the provincial agency.
Accreditation
Many hospitals are accredited through Accreditation Canada, part of Health Standards Organization, under its Qmentum Global programs. These expect documented credential checks and competency for everyone working on site, including agency staff.
Professional regulation
Nurses and allied professionals must hold current registration with their provincial regulator (for example BCCNM in BC, CRNA in Alberta, CNO in Ontario). Registration is provincial, so nurses moving provinces need to register in the new one.
Unionized environments
Most hospital nursing is covered by provincial nurses' unions and collective agreements, which affects how and when outside staff can be used. Agency use rules differ by province and employer, and some public employers limit or restructure how they use private agencies. We tell you plainly what applies in your province.
This is a summary, not legal advice. Confirm current obligations with your regulator and employer.
The pressures we hear about most
Night and weekend gaps
We focus on the shifts that are hardest to fill and tell you early what is realistic.
Specialty certifications
We confirm ICU, ER, OR, NICU and L&D credentials and recent experience before submitting anyone.
Leaves and seasonal peaks
Contract and relief placements sized to the leave or surge, not longer than needed.
Hard-to-fill permanent roles
Direct hire and executive search for roles that stay open despite internal postings.
Coverage models we can work with
Relief and per diem
Short-notice or scheduled shifts to cover sick calls and vacation.
Contract assignments
Fixed-term work, for example a leave replacement, with agreed hours and unit. See contract and relief staffing.
Permanent placement
Full-time or part-time positions placed through direct hire.
Hospital shifts are commonly 8 or 12 hours, days, evenings and nights. Exact patterns vary by hospital and collective agreement.

Do you place nurses in hospitals across Canada?
We recruit for hospital roles in every province and territory except Quebec, and we are based in British Columbia. Availability depends on the role, the location and the professional's registration. Send us your need or your profile and we will say honestly what is possible, including what we cannot fill.
How do you verify a nurse's registration?
We confirm registration status with the relevant provincial regulator and review the certifications listed for the role. This happens before we submit a profile to you. You still run your own credentialing, orientation and onboarding process, and we support whatever documents your hospital asks for.
Can we use agency staff in a unionized hospital?
It depends on your collective agreement and your province's or employer's policy. Some public employers limit or restructure how they use private agencies. Tell us your requirements at the start and we will work within them, and we will say plainly if a request does not fit.
Do you handle both short-term relief and permanent hires?
Yes. Contract and relief staffing covers leave replacements, sick calls and surges, and direct hire covers permanent full-time and part-time roles. Executive search is available for leadership positions. Tell us which model fits your situation and we will describe what is realistic for your province.
I am a nurse. Can I work in a hospital in another province?
Possibly, but you must be registered with that province's regulator, because nursing registration is provincial. Submit your profile with your current registration and the province you are considering, and we will tell you what we see and which registration steps to look at first.
Does it cost nurses anything to work with you?
No. Free for candidates. Always. Hospitals and other facilities pay for our service, and we never charge nurses or allied health professionals to submit a profile, to be matched or to accept an assignment. If anyone asks you to pay, it is not us.
Where do you want to work, or what do you need covered?
